  1. This is beyond incredible. I’ve been dot watching for the last 3 days and just cannot believe the distance she’s covered. What an achievement. Can’t wait to see her go through the finish line

  2. Even more amazing than this undertaking is her back story:

She was a promising young athlete in high school in Canada, possibly an Olympic hopeful, but then developed an autoimmune disease with which she lost a ability to walk or even use her hands. She’s been on a long recovery journey over several years, and decided to undergo this attempt to raise money for getting bicycles to refugees across the UK.

    Such an incredible human being.

  3. Absolut_Unit on

Off topic pedantry but Land’s End is actually only the westernmost point in mainland England. The southernmost point is actually The Lizard which is far less touristy and more beautiful.

Pedantry aside, that’s an absolutely incredible effort from anyone, let alone someone with her story.

  4. Incredible effort. over 100 hours riding time with only 20 hours stopped, not sure how she can even be awake let alone ride a bike.

Seeing the current womens record marker has only just passed through Penzance on the return really puts into perspective how far ahead she is of that.

  5. If i remember correctly GCN made a video about doing the same challenge but 1 person rides for an hour and switch with another until they reach the destination. Pretty mental to even think about going in your own!
