I’m looking to get a nice commuter/cruiser bike coming from mtb. I found this Topanga I’m in love with the way it looks. But besides that I’d like to know if it’s worth the price?
That’s a great deal! If it fits go for it!
Seems that someone with knowledge and experience restored this frame and built an awesome commuter of it. Only wonder, why it’s for sale…

It doesn’t look like there’s anything *wrong* with it per-se. It’s one of those bikes that it’s difficult to say if it’s a good price or not because it’s kinda niche. For a lot of riders it’s worth $0 because they’re not interested in a 35 year old bike, at the same time there’s probably a collector out there who would drool over this and pay whatever it took. Ultimately it’s a low enough amount of money that if you want to buy it mainly for looks, you do you.

These bikes are bombproof, and someone’s put a lot of love into it. Seems like a fair price, just make sure it’s the right size for you.

Thats a sweet looking bike but has been upgraded with low quality components. $325 is on the high end but you’re paying mostly for the labor. These bikes are making a comeback lots of people snagging the frames and building them up seen some for sale around 1.2K in my city. I would personally look for the frames and build it myself. Its a serviceable city bike for beginners.
I’m building bikes like this and while it’s easy and fun to do it yourself, this is a good deal for everyone who doesn’t have the tools, time, or knowledge to it themselves. Seller is trying to get most of their parts investment back and won’t make a dime for the work they put in. The Topanga is a mid-range frame below the Axis/Apex/Ascent line, so no sweet tubing and rather heavy. But it’s a dependable steel frame with good new components that will be good for another decade or two of heavy use. The sunlite rack is very cheap and some people say they break, but I’ve used them a lot and they always held up fine for me.
