Is it normal for them to have worn out like this after just one use? It was just a short trip with normal use. I keep reading that they’re supposed to be indestructible, but I’m really disappointed.

Mm, few scratches dont mean nothing on these.
Ortliebs will last for ages and are really durable, in that they aren’t susceptible to wear and tear as much as something cheaper would be. That doesn’t mean they’ll stay shiny and new looking forever, or that they’ll necessarily survive hard abrasion, being dumped on hard surfaces, crashes, leaned against rough surfaces etc. That to me looks like a bit of scuffing from use, and potentially damage from a heavy bash or drag along something in the first pic. Did anyone else carry your bags or watch your bike for you? Could be they treated them a bit roughly? Ortlieb tend to have good customer service so if you’re unhappy contact your retailer and see what they say.
