New Bike Day

After a long search on FB marketplace, I finally found my dream pub bike for a steal.

1988 Rockhopper Comp (or so I believe from my research)

Once I free the stuck seat post, (or my local shop does, I’ve tried just about everything) it’s time for some upgrades:

New bars – Nitto B2500/2520
New stem – Maybe Vero Orange/Nitto, open to suggestions with similar geometry (in chrome)
New seat – Brooks C15/17 or similar
Seat post – pending the condition of this one once freed from its prison (looking at Nitto (open to suggestions)
Grips – who knows, something simple and black
Tires – loving the Homage: Simworks by Panaracer black/tans

Have a resto-mod look in mind. The frame does all the talking here.

For now, I’ll stick with the current group set.
