I’m thinking you should get a new stem, I don’t think Giant parts are up to par for serious bmxing YMMV

Uhm… There is a massive difference between axial tolerance and a parts geometry.. you should be measuring the inside diameter of the stem and referencing that to the dia. Of your steer tube…

The slant of the stem is completely irrelevant in reference to the clamping surface of the stem…for the stem to be that out angle wise, it would mean youd have multiple millimeters of play (or the stem clamp surface is tappered like a morris tapper)in the stem…essentially it would sloppy like a hotdog through a hallway.

Its just the way the stem is made for it to have that angle… hell you could have the stem pointing directly towards the sky, but if the clamping surface is accurate to give enough compression to steer and both of those surfaces are parallel to eachother, then thats all that matters.

In terms of geometry and brand reputation alone however get a new stem. That stem (depending on bar clamp dia, and steer dia.) Would probably be better suited to a cross country mountain bike.

Giant made mosh. Mosh at one point was a good bmx brand. Also came with cross branded parts sometimes. Still a good brand just make sure it’s still solid. IMO I’d just get a new one. Just wanted to say mosh and giant are decent brands. Or at least were in my younger days
