Hard to justify used analog bikes for that price now. You can find nice brand new bikes around these prices. But it’s kind of up to you. Do you like all the components? I can order a NEW spindrift cf5 with ohlins suspension for (edit) (just above $5k) in the USA. Idk where you are located

Check new prices. You can probably build something close new. Personally I wouldn’t spend that much for a used bike with Ohlins stuff. If it had full Factory or Ultimate it would be an OK deal I guess.

As cool as the rest of the parts are, and as awesome it looks, that cassette is not going to work on the drivetrain. The seller can talk about how it works for him, but the rear derailleur is not made to work with both that chain and cassette. In fact, actual transmission cassettes are tighter than old eagle cassettes so I’m not even sure that the combo will engage.

  4. Would say yes if it’s really used only once and it’s an amazing bike with really good parts I actually have one and you won’t be disappointed if you buy it

  5. No. Also like someone mentioned the cassette is not compatible with the drivetrain. For that money you can get a nice new bike and eventually upgrade it over time if you need to. I found out that if you’re not a top level rider you can ride a bike without all the top parts pretty well. Change something when you realise that part is holding you back. And that’s realty the case.

In all reality no used bike is probably worth 5k.

Especially not when the drivetrain is hobbled together. The cassette is actually what makes transmission so good at shifting under load.

You do not service a bike which has been used only once… 5k on a used bike ?? Seriously? I always hear that the current mtb market is a buyer market. 5k goes in a new bike absolutely, maybe with lower components, but you will have new bearings.
