Hi all!
I have a Grizl EKAR which i'm very happy about in the winter/autumn. This is the link: https://www.canyon.com/da-dk/gravel-cykler/adventure/grizl/al/grizl-8-1by-ekar/3759.html?dwvar_3759_pv_rahmenfarbe=R075_P02&dwvar_3759_pv_rahmengroesse=XL
However, I want to buy a new set of wheels that is suited for roads, but as I understand it, i need something quite specific to fit with N3W (if thats even the right term?). My budget obviously isn't crazy high, as it's a sort of cheap bike, so if it exceeds a certain price, i would probably be better off buying a slightly used canyon road bike.
Im a heavy guy, 100+ kg, and i use the bike to drive to work (10km each way) and sometimes trips in the weekend (20-40km).
Do you guys have any suggestions? I would really appreciate some links, if you have some!

You get pretty good aluminium wheels for nearly 600 euro and entry level carbon wheels for around 800 euro. So it’s a bit up to you. I personally would buy some alu wheels, there often 30/35mm deep (for the looks), theyre often also around 1600 gram per set and I think you will get some with thicker spokes.
If its just about having the bike equipped with a more road oriented setup generally, you could just mount narrower/slick tires to your existing wheelset. As long as the tires are a few mm wider than the internal rim width, youll be fine.
If its about having a second wheelset, budget would be helpful to know. There are many „cheap as possible“ options around. but theyre obviously not gonna be too durable and reliable. If you have a few hundred bucks, there are plenty of very good options in the mid range aluminium section. I‘d check out Hunt or DT Swiss, where you can get Campgnolo specific hubs or N3W freehubs for any of their wheels/hubs. For example the E1800 is an allroad wheelset that is going to support your weight also on allroad terrain. If you want to mount something like 35mm slicks and ride some light gravel, that would be fine too i think. You could also get a gravel specific wheelset of those companies if youre worried about weight. thats totally fine for riding road tures too as saud above.
if you think more of higher end carbon wheels, there are many options, also from direct chinese manufacturers. but im not sure if thats what you would ve looking for for commuting.
edit: fulcrum wheels are decent too, and made by campagnolo
You might check CarlZ in Germany.
They build very good wheels at a more than fair price. I have two sets from them.
They react slowly – if at all – to e-mails, but I always got them on the phone and they were friendly and helpful.
It’s a small business, as far as I can tell and the owner is not the youngest one any more.
