I was putting a new stem on this 2001 Gary Fisher Tassajara frame and noticed this crack. I'm super bummed because I was stoked on this as a project bike. It's from around when I was in high school and a Gary Fisher was the grail bike for me. Just wanted to check with the sub here, but a cracked head tube usually means the frame is shot? I know it's not like a collector's item or something but it was a nice find that I was excited about.
Thanks for the advice.

Unfortunately, there is nothing potential here, that’s done for!
In some theoretical world you could have that frame repaired. In the practical sense it is dead.
That is done unless you want to weld a new head tube on.
