My dad and I are bike packing for a few weeks in Europe. Michael chauffeered us to the airport, easily under 50 pounds. We also checked bags, though, and we made our way to my dad’s first international flight. 7 and 1/2 hours later in Beni Van Nuros, Barcelona. Where are the bikes? In one piece in the oversized luggage section. Some other cyclists from Toronto had the same idea as us and convinced us not to take a taxi with the bike box, but instead just to build our bikes and bike into town, which was actually more of a headache than I expected. gravel, construction, bike paths, but overall bike paths. We were pretty protected from cars the entire time. Plus a recharge in our little tiny room before meeting Alexi for tapas. Tons of city wrecks and it’s time to get some sleep. Some stats for the nerds. And that’s a wrap.
