2013 Cannondale Synapse Alloy 105
Trying to find a bike to climb hills and comfortably enjoy longer rides. I’ve always had janky road bikes thinking if I get good enough I’ll treat myself to something better. Also never felt like I deserved a nice bike.
But… I’m getting older and not riding much because it hurts to ride, either due to ill-fit or the rough drive train ratio.

I can’t tell without knowing the components
I wouldn’t pay any more than $250-300 and I would expect to need to spend about $200 minimum on it to get it serviced. 550 doesn’t leave you a lot of room to invest in getting it serviced and still have a decent deal. So I would try to talk to the price down based on that.
keep in mind, the synapse is more performance geometry. A more modern endurance road bike or even a gravel bike is going to be more appropriate for casual riders and have wider range gearing for climbing.
