  1. I don’t understand what you mean by you have more than you should behind you. Do you have a large ass or something? I recommend the brooks C17 saddle. Pricey but worth it

  2. If the bike is strictly for commuting and you need more comfort, you should get wider and more padded seat. Many would say that it’s very important is to get proper seat width for your sit bones, but again, that’s for more speed/endurance oriented bike.

Good idea for the first step would be going to [this website](https://www.selleroyal.com/en_eu/saddles/shop-by-usage/commuter-saddles.html) and taking a look around for seat fitting to your riding position and preferred width.

New, more padded and wider saddle will enhance your experience for sure, because that one is narrow and seems unnecessarily harder for commuter-oriented bike and your body gives you a signal for that, so listen to it 😉

Are you sure you have a proper seat fit? I was dying and actually pretty much unable to ride my new bike after a few miles and went down a rabbit hole trying to find the best seat, only to figure out it was too high. I lowered it and within the next two days (while I was stilling riding no less) all the pain went away. It’s worth a shot if online says that the seat itself is of nice quality!
