Wanted to share my excitement about my newest bike: the Grizl CF 8 1by! I’ve already been riding the Ultimate CF SLX 8, which I absolutely love for road cycling, but I’ve been looking for a gravel/adventure-oriented counterpart – something more versatile for off-road and rougher terrain.
After comparing the Grizl and the Grail, I ended up going with the Grizl. The geometry and overall vibe just felt better suited to what I wanted – especially with a bikepacking trip on the horizon this year.
I’m super happy with the choice so far. The 1x drivetrain is simple and efficient and I just love the look of the bike.
It rides very comfortable and I‘m suprised of how fast it can be on concrete.
Anyone else here having the road bike and the gravel bike? Do feel you need both bikes? Also I would love to hear about your bike packing setups and essentials.

I have been using the Grizl with road bike tires these past 1000km but just now, I fitted the gravel tires back on.
I don’t know, just got bored I guess. 😅
But goddamn, these tires look f huge! And I already used pretty big 32mm road bike tires.
