  1. Tire isn’t seated properly. Deflate, massage the whole thing, reinflate, if tire doesn’t make a satisfying set of pop sounds, ride around in a circle and then check again

Not seated properly. Is it WTB? I have a 40mm WTB gravel tire with a similar tan sidewall that for the life of me doesn’t want to seat. I have to inflate them to around 5 bar, which is a lot over their limit… I should change them soon.

  3. Whenever you can’t see if it’s the wheel or the tire, try looking at the rim closely. Put your finger or any expendable object near it while it’s spinning, for a reference point.

Agree with others tube isn’t seated. Checking clearance between rim and brakes confirms this..

I had trouble seating – get some soapy water in there when deflated. Get some air in and it should floop into place no hassle.
