JaccoW on May 12, 2025 8:01 am Personally, I’d return the bike for manufacturing error. You’re right, that’s a Right (R->) sided cup threading into the Left side with the bike upside down. The threading is supposed to be the other way around because it is then self-tightening.
clintj1975 on May 12, 2025 8:01 am Somebody was having an off day when they built that frame. That’s wild.
Richy99uk on May 12, 2025 10:02 am possibly an italian threaded bottom bracket, they are threaded the opposite way to a standard BSA one
Wolfy35 on May 12, 2025 12:20 pm Probably an Italian BB they don’t have the reverse threaded part like so called English threaded BB’s
BreakfastShart on May 12, 2025 1:02 pm I’m failing to see any threads on the bike frame. Are you sure that’s not press fit?

That’s hilarious. Should be a good enough reason for a refund.
LOL, what’s the manufacturer of the frame?

So the bracket is in backwards. Pretty simple manufacturer error.
