The last few kilometers have been ideal for Little Trek because there’s been so much uh well aggression to get towards the front. Other teams wanting to be on the front pushing the pace. Little Trek sitting in the wheels and just keeping the lead out riders fresh for M Personal was just looking behind her to see if he could get a teammate to come and sit in front of him and drive the pace as well as Rogich is being kept towards the front. You see that Sean? There was a big moment there when lots of teams who’ve been out of position for the next technical section made the effort to get to the front. Yes. Well, if you all lower just a half a meter of of a gap, they’re going to just, you know, dash through there, bust through and try and get to the front. And, you know, that is always the difficulty here on the run in when it’s not really going fast. And you can see here at the moment, you know, the pace is not rocket high. And for that reason, if there’s a little bit of an opening at all, riders will come in a big flush on your left or right. being looked after there for Kufis on the left hand side. Serio Samier, he’s alongside Jonathan Lstraat fellow Spaniard through the center. You can still see that it’s Red Bull Bora Hanser in the second wheel now on his wheel is the Mayar Roza. The man hoping to take the jersey back off and just one second back in the general classification is three wheels back. It’s Mars Bison in Chiclamino back and ready for the fight. Robbie Mchuan, he is ready for the fight. So is his team. But it’s a funny sort of dynamic when you’re coming into a flat finish, but you’ve been over a climb. Nearly all the sprinters are gone. There’s no real dominant sprint team to take it up from a long way out. So you just get this pushing forward of GC riders and their teams and they’re itching to get to the point that’s 100 100 meters up the road. 3K to go, that safety zone in case there’s a crash or you you have a mechanical, then you’ll get the same time as the winner or the group you’re in at that moment. So they’re inside that moment now, inside the safety zone of 3K to go. But little trek, they’ll want to be holding off for as long as possible. And they’ll be counting up how many have we got, how many meters can each rider do at 100% effort at the front and wait until the right moment to launch things. And everybody else is looking at the wheel of muzz. 122 is on his wheel next to him 109. So that is Corbin Strong already trying to dominate that position following the wheel of Madison. Keep your eyes on Felix Engelhart as well. He’s a fastish finisher from Jar Lula. Good rider, young rider David Depto as well. Plenty of opportunities maybe for him. Selected as an Italian for Jacob Alulu as a lot of talk about the non selection wasn’t there of Alessandro de Mari. Another not a man for these finishes but for the breakaways. There’s pointed out as Robbie was looking as we get to 2.2 km to go and lead return to the front now. Then this is Chicorn. Sorry. He was just pointing out the narrowing of the road there trying to keep everybody safe. He’s not happy here. So Hitcock left of picture there, the Red Bull helmet. He’s come up and popped himself into that battle for the wheel of Maz Pettis. Next to him is David Del PTO. So at the moment, Olar and also Corbin Strong just shuffled out of it. Andre Vanama start to poke his nose into that fight. So all those riders, as I said earlier, all trying to get onto the wheel for the good lead out. A stray dog out the way. Keep running. He wasn’t happy. He didn’t like the dog. Who would at that point? He knows it was close, but he’s back to work here. One and a half kilometers to go. Sitting in the train, it’s Chicorn at the front. White jersey of Vatk. Then you can just see that it’s Pison, but you can see on the right hand side, too. They’re fighting for Pison’s wheel. It’s Pitcock. It’s strong. It’s all in that corner. Robbie Mchuan with 1.3ks to go. And you have to take that wheel at the perfect time. Get yourself in there, nestle in, and then really fight for it. All the others are going to keep coming up constantly putting you under attack to try and take the wheel of Pison. This helps if you got the position now like Corbin Strong is on the wheel of Pison through the roundabout. A kilometer to go things are going to hot up now. It’s going to be much harder for anyone to come forward and grab that position. But Little Trek in control with Maz Pison. Vach poised for the lead out. They’re ready to go with 900 meters to the finish on day three of the Jodalia. We’ve been up mountains almost 3,000 m of climbing. Most of the main sprinters are dropped, but Mars Pison in the Malia Lamino is ready to try and exchange it for the pink that’s on the back of Primar Rogich. 10 bonus seconds would be enough. Second or third would be enough as well. Let’s see how they go. Straight into the finish here, but they’re all primed and ready to try and take the stage win as well. Florian Stark moves up in the black jersey. You can see on the right hand side there’s an opportunity for Alpacas Kernik to have a go. They’re trying to do that with Fabio Fon Bosa. There are now 400 meters to go. It’s Vatk in the white jersey trying to lead out the man who won on the opening day and he’s poised again as elbowto elbow stuff. Machet Luzi trying to get in there but no he can’t do. It’s bunched out by Strong who is Strong and looking to be the strongest again is Mars Person. He flies off the front in the Maya Lamino but Strong is trying to get around him. Strong continues to try and get around him. Strong is there. He hits the front. Oh, that was close. Pison so so so strong. He is victorious in Lauder. It looked like he was about to lose it, but there was another acceleration and lead love it when a plan comes together. He’s back in the Mayora. What a sprint. What strength, Sean?

  2. Still is a bit sad that you no longer can get this commentary or the Breakaway show..why do WBS lock so many out from watching this content..? Nothing wrong with Carlton & Co..but I miss the analysis and take of this gang.

  3. I just can't understand WHY the GC guys need to be there, in the front of a final sprint stage … come on UCI change the rules, let's do a final 5 km final "neutral safety zone" when it's a sprint stage. That way, you will save the GC guys from crashes and leave the field for the real sprinters. Those who want to go for a sprint it's on them, the others can save themselves that way.

  4. I've watched this sport for over 40 years and I remeber when Pedersen won the rainbow Jersey several seasons ago and I thought "who's this lad"? I started watching him and frankly I wasn't too impressed until this past 2 seasons. He is definitely on the form of his life this season and it's great to see. Nice lad and deserves his name in the history books. Hes EARNED every bit of this!!
One of the best things about this sport is watching lads do things for the first time. Watching Pedersen win his first leaders jersey in a GT was brilliant to watch. His tenacity and the strength he showed to get it back on stage 3 was almost better to watch. He wasn't just going to be happy with wearing the leaders jersey ONE TIME. Hes a true champ and will be in the leaders jersey for several days. I've not looked at all the profiles for the rest of the week but I know he'll keep it for stage 4 at least and probably stage 5 also. Only looked at stave 4 profile tho so not sure whats to come after that but I'd imagine he'll keep it through the week
    🤘🏻🇬🇧
