Just finished a great solo overnighter along the WRT from New Meadows to Weiser, Idaho. 85 miles and really easy on both logistics and difficulty. Steady -1% average grade made for some fast miles along the gravel.

Frontier RV Park in Cambridge has a shuttle service that picked up my car from the WYE campground in New Meadows and had it waiting for me in Weiser.

Camped at Mundo Hot Springs on Saturday. It’s an RV park that has some tent spots, but totally worth it to be able to soak in their spring-fed pool and get a burger at their bistro.

The only real consideration is that the last 30 miles south of Midvale are pretty desolate, so make sure you bring enough water. You could always filter from the Weiser River, but the banks are pretty steep and my legs wouldn’t have wanted to carry water back up them to the trail.

Overall, a great trip and one that I’ll use to introduce more friends to bikepacking in the future.

(Wasn’t able to find a good wood pile, so hopefully a stack of hay bales is acceptable)
