I just finished touring Jeju and I’m 134km short of finishing the South Korean passport.

I’m going to get some hate for this, I ride a brompton. When I’m on islands like Okinawa or Jeju, I ride a chunk, then take a taxi or transit to my hotel. Then resume where I left off.

So technically I’m touring, but carrying less weight.

I’ve toured EuroVelo 8, 1000km in Japan, Taiwan Route 1, and Korea and the Brompton is pretty good.

i did the whole island back in 2022 solo on shitty conditioned rental roadbike from a shop near the airport. they gave me a roadbike with 23c tire n oily chain.
it was brutal, but luckily i paid extra for the aerobars to make the torture bearable (it was to commemorate my 1yr picking up cycling in 2021, my 2nd ride above 120km).
16hrs elapsed, and it got dark 75% into the distance 😬
