  1. Not an answer to whether it’s a deal but FYI it’s a good practice to crop out or block out any PII (personal identifying information) such as the sellers name in the screenshot attached.

To rich for my blood, priced about double what I’d pay.

You can get good newer bikes on sale for that price.

It’s an old frame, and 27.5 isn’t my thing. The XTR Di2 is cool. If you’re unfamiliar with that, it’s wireless shifting which means less cables and your derailleur doesn’t go out of alignment as often. Overall I’d say $1600 takes it

I have a 2018 sb5 i paid this amount for two years ago. I would never pay that much now considering the age of the bike, outdated geo/ industry standards, and buyers market. It probably is a super fun bike still, but i would go with something newer for sure. An 8 year old full sus is a bit.. sus. I wouldn’t pay more than a grand for this.

I would say no in this current market, look on pinkbike if you aren’t right now. I’m sure you’ll find something with more current geometry for a good price.

For that amount you can get a NEW bike. The tech of bikes is crazy fast. Do some research and get a newer bike. You can always upgrade some parts in the comming years if you get a fully bike, a bit cheaper.
I got a trek top fuel 5 from 2023 new bike (1700 euro), awesome bike! but some parts are a bit cheaper. for example the saddle, its ”Tubeless ready” not yet tubeless, ,or the rear shock, Just upgrade those parts when you want later on.
