Hello all, my newest addition. 60s Gios Torino. It has the characteristics of a Pelà built frame. the dash dot dash fork crown, spear tip seat stays. I’ve also noticed on Pela built frames the seat binder bolt tabs have a rounded sweeping look to them. I’d love any opinions, as im not an expert.
I got this frame recently with the idea to build it up with spare parts that were laying around. I had the perfect wheelset, 60s mavic, campagnolo “no record“ hubs(with a 60 date stamp). A badged cinelli steel stem. Unfortunately, the stem to long for me. So it isn’t pictured or currently on the bike. It’s 130mm, I may go back to this stem. The brakes are centerpull, which is new to me. Universal mod 61. The levers feel kinda flimsy, so I switched them out for some campagnolo. I lost the ability to fine tune the adjustment since the universal brakes have the barrel adjuster on the lever. Saddle a kinda beat and cracking, I may replace that.
ive literally just finished setting it up, so I haven’t ridden it more than a couple blocks. It felt good on the short ride though. I’d love to hear any feedback or opinions on the bike.

Nice ! 👍
Not much to say, except that it looks really great.
I wonder if you didn’t like the Universal levers just due to the setup? Centerpulls take some finessing in my experience, but they usually work pretty well once the setup is dialed in. A third hand tool is almost essential.
Beautiful. Looks correct for the period. It’s not your common Italian racing frame of the period, as typified by Legnano, Chiorda, or the like. It also does not show the obsessive lug finishing and thinning that became common on later Italian frames. The round fork blades, and as you say, the fork crown and the seat stay caps are all typical of Pela. The later (Eddy Merckx 1970) bikes have thin cutout lugs, but this was not the fashion in the early 1960s.
Beautiful build and very correct. Love those Campagnolo Nuvo Tipo hubs with the round holes – absolutel;y a typical Italian racing bike of the mid 60’s

Learn something new everyday. Does that bike have any braze ons? I think it’s amazing how slowly brazing on bits (?) took hold.
