During the jump, I feel like I need a pilots license with how high it feels. After watching the video of said jump, I think I child with training wheels could hit this harder.
Any tips are welcome, started the week being horrified of being airborne, to now thoroughly enjoying not being in contact with the ground. A work in progress though….

It’s the curse of MTB. Video is never reflective of how it looks or feels in person. It really is a “you had to be there” sport. Makes you appreciate when a video truly looks gnarly…then you know it’s basically ride or die.
Just ride your bike and dont worry about making videos
This is probably my comfort and skill level too and I totally agree with you! Looking good keep at it 🤙
Yeah, I already know that I fly low, but my videos let me know I fly REALLY low. Stuff that feels steep, chunky, and/or rooty, looks smooth as a baby’s bottom on video. Depressing. Brains are weird.
Keep riding man, it’ll get better. There’s also a ton of videos on how to jump/boost on youtube.
IMO for only a week of practice you’re doing pretty darn well. I’m not good enough to give advice. I’m still working on not even getting as high or far as you are after a few months of intermittent practice. I’m an old, apparently weak, fart, though.
Heritage! Nice.
