Hi, I am a long-time road biker, but after a recent move, I had to get rid of some bikes and have room for one bike (as well as a limited budget). I am looking for a bike to commute, ride some light gravel, and long-distance riding/randoneurring in the future.
There is an excellent condition, modernized Gardin 63cm (I'm 6'7) touring frame from the 1980s made of lugged chromoly steel with tiagra 3×10, and brifters and clearance for 38-40mm 700c tires, used brooks saddle. It is listed for 700 dollars (Canadian), which is the top of my budget. Is this worth it? Or any alternatives that fit all my criteria/wants?
