from team picnic postn of going off first. So we go uh yesterday um as we can explain to the people watching at home um basically the starting line will be the opposite of yesterday finish or the GC contender since they only uh ridden one stage. So basically the finish line finish line there’s another man he’s going to catch and pass Marco Brena. the German national road race champion, a tuda pro cycling. He’s got a lovely position on the time trial bike actually Brena, but he’s no match for Ethan who has blasted 2 minutes off the time of Nicholas Ma and he will go to the hot seat and he may well sit on that hot seat for quite there’s an early rest day. Here’s Ephini again getting it let’s hope right. Oh not so much this time guys really really leaning that bike over, wasn’t he? lucky actually to keep it. I think that Eduardo Afini is going to dislodge the British rider and take his place on the hot seat. But if he does, by how much? Still has 25 seconds to get to the line. That should be enough of a cushion. Get the countdown ready. The rider from Dathlon AG2R just finishing ahead of him. Eduardo Afini. This long straight. Where’s that line now? Still got 13 seconds. Hater looking up. Hater beaten. Eduardo Afini goes 8 seconds faster. The European champ, the fastest man so far. 20 seconds to get there for the Dutch national champion. Afini watching on. Is he going to be dislodged? My feeling is that Afini will probably hold on here by a couple of seconds. Who just being undone by that descent that Afini mastered? He took it home. Danul’s going to pull up a little bit short here. There’s not going to be much in it. Afini. Afini hangs on by two seconds. Well, he did everything that he possibly could there. He’ll be disappointed at Dan Hul that he couldn’t quite get over the line ahead of Eduardo Afaini but mightily relieved to the Italian. He doesn’t look at piano height. Well, Jay Vine, how close is he? Let’s get the clock on him. This is going to be extremely close now. Eduardo Afini is sweating on this one, I think, just a little bit. And he gets up to speed brilliantly quickly. Just get right on top of that gear. Probably get seated then and get those hands once again perhaps in an aerot tuck or just bite the bike all the way to the line as we saw Joseph Chanley doing. Almost out of the saddle and sprinting for the line. 16 seconds to go. 1613 the time to beat for Eduardo Afini. Jvine is a live threat to that. The Australian is going to set the best time. Is he? I think he’s going to get there. Jay Vine dislodges itini by 3 seconds. No one has gone faster so far than Jay Vine of UE team emeritates. And we have a new leader in the clubhouse. Though to this man, Josh Tarling, British national champion, among the outright favorites really along with Jay Vine, along with Watt Bernard, Josh Tarling, Primos Roglitch. These are the men who everybody have been tipping one way or another. Look, he’s a monstrous size, isn’t he, Josh Tarling? Yeah, especially when you look at him um holding a tiny ender bar, right? Um rofully looking there and probably feeling this might be getting away from him. Josh Tarling’s close now. Still got 15 seconds to play with in this long straight in this bright sunshine. Is this the winning ride from Josh Tarling to take his first ever Grand Tour stage? We’ll have to wait and see. But for now he’s gone faster than anyone else. Josh Tarling 3 seconds. Anything but here in Albania. Juanuzo though. Here we go. Had a difficult day yesterday coming off his bike and not sustaining any damage but out of position and ever since then it was a little bit ragged for Wanauer. It wasn’t a controlled performance from him. He wasn’t seeming in the right place at the right time all the time. Yes, I guess all the riders are pretty fresh still. And here we see one of the danger for tingling for the two today stage, but also a GC contender for pink juice in in Roma, Primos Rockglitch. Absolutely. Primos Roglitch won his first individual time trial at a grand tour at the G. Time to beat is 16 07 for Josh Tarling. Here comes V. It’s going to be very close indeed, isn’t it? That tailwind. He’s going to hope that that is howling at the moment. Tarling will be looking on anxiously. 5 seconds to get to the line. Is Tarling going to hold on? If he does, it’s going to be by just a whisker. Vache pulling up short. Tarling continues on the hot seat. Wow. So Vache hampered perhaps by that very strong headwind in the final. [Music] Josh Taling, um Matias Bach actually and Rogich all on the the best time on the intermediate taling at the finish line and uh 34 seconds definitely is of contention for the victory. So we better keep our focus on Matt Person which you see on camera. Yeah, I think we can say [Music] sit on that hot seat for a long long time watching rider after rider threatened his time. Some ran him very close. Nobody ran him as close as Primos Roglitch who very nearly beat Tarling. But other than Rogich, he had a comfortable advantage over everybody else in the field. beating the likes of the European champion Eduardo Afini beating Watt Vanard, Maz Pedison and Primosglitch, albeit by just one second. Two-time British national champion, a former European champion, stage winner this year of a world tour individual time trial at the UAE tour. And now as he takes a really quite big swig of the Atoriia sparkling wine, he is a winner of a grand tour stage for the first time in his career and has made history by becoming the youngest winner of a individual time trial at the Jiro ever. That’s the top 10. A mixture of stage hunters and GC riders. The likes of Primosglitch and Janauzo. Thinking about Rome and three weeks. Mass Pison in seventh place. Just thinking about getting through today in pink and falling agonizingly short. to the race whether they might be tempted to hand it over as we often see. Welcome back. Fair enough. It’s been two years. Taking the pink jersey on stage two. Very different from taking it on stage 20, but he did that in an individual time trial as well, which he won. a very different individual time trial from the one that he hasn’t won today, but he he very nearly won it. Instead, he’s rewarded with uh the pink jersey. Sure things are going to go going to add a lot of confidence after this time trial because he got better than anybody else of the GC contenders. Nearly got the victory, but he got a lot of confirmation about his current shape. Well, for for Pogacher 2024, Reed Roglitch 2025 stage two seems to be the favorite day for these supporters to celebrate a Slovenian in pink. It happened last year at the top of the Oruropa sanctuary climb, historic climb in the Jedalia. This year, Primoslich does it in the warm sunshine of the Albanian capital. Another day of history is written and another day in pink for Primos Rugglitch Beckens. The winner of the 2023 Jirro Italia comes back two years later determined to do it all again and has got off to the best possible start. Primroich in the Malia Rosa once more.

  1. Odd highlights, early on cutting too early as the commentators sentence didn’t finish. Then it chopped to just loads of starters, then all of a sudden on the podium.
