That happened to me in 1991 when I got onto the course of the tour of Britain between Robert Millar, Evgeni Berzin and the peloton. They were two minutes up the road and I didnβt even know until I heard Sean Yates shout βeh mate, fuck offβ. Hilarious, but unintentional.

I did this a couple years ago, when tadej took off on a hard climb, I kept up for a few miles and then I decided to pull over before I got in trouble.

I tell you what is ridiculous, UCI only giving the girls half a race every time. Milan to San Remo but they start in Genoa over 100km from Milan. That just makes it not a proper race. Let them race the full course. Better still let them race with the men. Same course, same start time. Within 2 minutes there will be 2 distinct pelotons but thats ok. Marathons are mixed. Even LeMans is mixed. Stop this silly two race stuff. They want to race, let them race, all together, same course.
