Checking these tires two-days before hitting the GAP and C&O. Is this sort of sidewall fraying a sign i should change my tires before?
They dont have tremendous miles on them but they're old (spent 3 years in storage)

I would replace these if I were going on a long trip away from bikeshops.
That looks like a single thread. It just clip it off unless there is some reason for it.
