La 108e édition du Tour d’Italie s’est élancée ce vendredi d’Albanie ! Et au terme des 160 kilomètres entre Durrës et Tirana, c’est Mads Pedersen qui s’est imposé. Lors d’un final très animé, le Danois de la Lidl-Trek a devancé dans un sprint en petit commité Wout Van Aert (Visma | Lease a Bike) et Orluis Aular (Movistar Team). Chez les favoris, premier coup dur, avec la chute et l’abandon de Mikel Landa (Soudal Quick-Step).

Thanks. That was a bad corner. Guys catapulting over each other and curbs and fences at 40 mph is a scary scene. . Hitting a pole never ends well. It looked to me like the guy behind the guy who hit the pole forced him into the pole. Did the poor rider on the ground crash before that?

Wout should still hold his head up high. He's a true champion but it's nice to see the greatness spread out over more than 2 or 3 .
Barring any unfortunate events the TDF should be the best in years.
Also seeing more than 2 teams in the mix makes it better. Not to mention a tour of the French countryside and historic sites (sights) .
Helicopters showed Americans that tactics and teamwork work and how they work, or intended to work but the motorcycles ( there are too many of them) and especially the Drones bring things up close and personal
