From what I’ve gathered this is a 2017 Norco
Valence Disc A Tiagra. I am looking to get into cycling long distances and I will also be using it daily for commuting around my college campus (we have bike racks inside our building so I’m not super worried about theft). The listing has it at $600 and I was just wondering how much you guys think would be fair. The post description says they bought it in 2019 but have never ridded it and it’s just been sitting up in the garage (not sure how much i believe that it has 0 miles on it) and I can see that there is a cable out of it’s designated spot in the back. Also, I am completely new to this and am having trouble identifying whether it is a gravel bike or road bike and would also love some help with that. Thanks everyone.

600 is fair for this bike, you can offer 500 and see if he accepts.
This is an entry level gravel bike. It appears unused by the condition of the plastic piece behind the cassette. That part is true. That said this is a $200-300 bike just by age and components. Cable pull brakes and cheap, but fine, drivetrain. $600 is almost retail. Also the god awful cable routing says someone who doesn’t know bikes fiddled with this, -$100.
