I replaced the original Giant Crosscut AT 2 38-622 tires with Continental Terra Hardpack 50-622 with tubes.
The bike is to be universal but with an emphasis on long distances, including with panniers. That is, relatively good asphalt, gravel, field and forest roads. Over 100 km per day over several days.

I’ll change my Revolt’s stock crosscuts soon too, but I’m a bit torn on the future tire size (40, 45 or 50).
What did you noticed when you tried your new tires ?
Did the rolling efficiency improved ?
On my side I consider Specialized pathfinders or Tufo thundero (both in the “HD”/reinforced variants), probably tubeless.
