  1. Mostly, I’d just suggest sizing up a bit since your effective reach with “sweep”/alt bars is less than with drop bars.

If you want to see examples, I’d search for “alt bar gravel bike.”

  2. Path less peddled on YouTube has a few features on a bike type known as an ATB bike. All terrain bike. Kinda touring, kinda gravel, kinda old mountain bike.

Get a 92-98 trek 900 series bike. You can put a modern fork and sweep back bars easy. I have a few and they are amazing, if you look through my post you can see my bikepacker/gravel bike

  4. So a traditional geo with a parallel/near parallel top tube?

Not sure about your local market but you could imagine any surly or all city with flat bars in my area and find it for sale. But the Surly Preamble and All City Space Horse come brand new with flat bars as an option (I have a flat bar preamble with Velo Orange Seine Handlebars).

If you’re OK with a sloped top tube, check out the Salsa Journeyer or a Specialized Sirrus.
