It is a beautiful bike. If it is not worth $1000 today, sometime within the next 70 to 100 years, it will easily be worth that. I don’t think I would use it as my daily driver, but I sure would like to own it.

  2. I think it’s a beautiful frame that could be built into a beautiful bike, by at least changing the god-awful tires.

However, it has lower end Campagnolo 8-speed components, and I can only presume that the frame is also an entry-level Bianchi frame.

$1000 is ridiculous because nothing here has true vintage value. $500 would still be steep for me, although I can understand someone spending that because everything here looks to be in nice condition.

Sold one like this only in celeste for 350 a month ago. Although quite a bit more used

  4. Way, way too much. The Campione D’Italia was a mid-level model, it’s not collectible enough to fetch that price.

Meh. You could part it out for probably $750. It’s all pretty mid-level stuff, frameset included. 90s stuff isn’t particularly desirable.

Don’t ever touch older Bianchis, imo, if you’re just looking for a good bike to ride. They are quality bikes, but have value to some collectors of vintage bikes far in excess of their value as actual bikes, so are almost never a good buy.
