Don’t buy the soft grip ones. They wear down really quick, especially with gloves. I always buy the thickest possible grips I can, not a lot of people like the feel though

    Got that kung-fu grip?

Might wanna try leather bar tape, doubled up.

  3. Have you tried odi grips? They usually last a bit longer. Don’t go for super soft.

ODI Longneck last me 1-2 years! On both my bmx and downhill bike

Get you some cult/odi Vans grips, the waffle cup ones. They’ve lasted me like a year when other grips show their wear in a few months

i run longnecks for years with minimal wear. cult sends out free grips everytime i order from them so i have a ton of these sitting around. i dislike flangless grips plus i have no need to replace my beloved odi(s) but i finally put a set on my fairdale weekender and this is begining to happen to me also. they feel very similar to longnecks and i think odi even makes them but they are too soft to last it seems.

  7. I had the same issue man, I’m into rock climbing so I have a strong grip witch doesn’t tire. My homie noticed that my hands are red from the squeezing and told me that I should stop gripping so hard and maan it made a huge difference. It took a lot of adjusting (I still grip hard from time to time and I have to remind myself not to) but it nit inly saved my grips but made riding easier. Turns out me gripping hard limited the movement of the bike while I hop so it affected all my tricks as well as making me land harder on double pegs.

Do you use gloves? Your sweaty hands can degrade the grips quicker than you think

You’re gripping and/or twisting really hard right there. Need to try and focus on not doing that, or find some super tough grips. Maybe try some lock on grips? Then get some like the cult vans grips that’re a thicker pattern and will be tougher. And gum grips always last the longest for me. They’re a slightly different compound

I used odi longnecks they lasted longer. If you throw bars allot this may be the case as in high school I’d notice the same thing. When you throw and catch too hard the grip wears down real fast try the handover method to make it less if you like softer grips

Gees if that’s the state of your grips … I dread to think 🤭

  12. Serious question do you do a lot of turndowns? They wrench grips into oblivion if you’re doing them properly and frequently

  13. I once tore through a set of daily grind grips after one session. Both were split completely in half 😭

Use ODI longnecks. They’re the best for Comfort, dryness and they last a long time

Anyone remember those RNC Marijuana grips from like 2007-ish? I almost died crossing a road due to the florida heat and slick ass grips. I swear they were intended for glove riders only

My mate has the same issue use cult vans grips they don’t feel the nicest but they work

Your best bet is just to stop holding on 👍. Makes bar spins a little harder but your grips will last.

  18. I stopped using mushroom grips just because of that. I run cinema interlace, they are short (150mm) and heavy but they last 7 months.

  19. Try the S&M btm grips, they are thicker and make by odi! I run them, I think there hoder signature grips
