It has a barrel at one end and a ball at the other cut of the smaller ball end. The barrel end goes in the brake lever.
You might also need to cut the outer to the length you need as they come as a standard length.

Run the cable through the front of the bike going into the back ending with the pointy cable ends at the brakes.

If you’re a little handy you can cut the end off, thread it, then you know how diagonal cutters look like a little bowl on one side when they are closed? Melt down the lead in that, stick the wire in, then reshape it once it cools. Lead melts at a fairly low temp so a butane torch from Lowe’s is enough to make it liquid.
….as I re-read that it sounds complicated, but it’s not that hard!
