So yesterday I was kind of nudged by a car side on nobody's fault gets home takes a closer look and the back wheel needs a fix calls my local bike shop that I have used before who has been there years and years and they say its an £18 fix not bad I think

You need to get the wheel trued. A short while back my son’s bike had his front wheel trued too due to fall impacts that caused his brakes to keep rubbing on the rim.
