you’ll want to make sure the bottom bracket is compatible with your bike, or your current bottom bracket is compatible with the new crankset (shell width and threading standard).
You can easily run the parts through their paces in hand vs on bike. Just make sure everything works. And as mentioned before. Make sure the BB is correct. Also if hubs included make sure those widths are compatible jn the future!
Besides the bottom bracket the other major compatibility item I see is the brakes.
Is your bike already hydraulic road? If it is older it might use MTB style post mount disc brakes. These are flat mount.
