Yep. You know the one… the mysterious new replacement for the Black Chili compound Race King 2.2, also from Continental.
Here is what I can say after a good bit of miles on the Dubs and somewhere around 10 different Chung Method test rounds… they are pretty similar to the Kings in efficiency, ride feel, and weight.
All off road Coefficient Rolling Resistance data is my own obtained via Chung Method Virtual Elevation testing.
The BRR (Bicycle Rolling Resistance) Drum numbers for the 2.2s and for the 2.4 Dubs are my predictions based on my own pavement testing. BTW, these ARE fast on pavement… they just don’t sound or feel fast on pavement.
Anyway, these tires are fast in a variety of terrain, for those whose bike fits one of these, it might be a legit option. If your bike doesn’t fit these I’ve got a set of Enve Hex 700 x 48s to test soon as well as some Rene Herse Oracle Ridge 700 x 48 regular sidewall.

Very cool that you are doing these tests and sharing your results here every other day. 🙌 Keep up the great work!
Would be interested to also see the Tufo Thundero.
Tufo Thundero next!
Thanks! I wonder if there are any improvements other than just a new name?
what did these end up measuring for actual width?
