Excuse the terrible handwriting…I was leaning on a pram (stroller), and have terrible handwriting
I spotted a half decent mountain bike on my way home locked through the front (qr) wheel. Headed back with some paper to leave them a note. Hopefully they lock it better and it doesn't become another crime statistic

I work on a big medical campus outside of the city that generally is very safe and very heavily monitored by security and cameras. Never heard of a bike theft here. It is still so crazy to me how some people lock their bikes.
I have a picture somewhere on my phone where a guy put a ziptie on the bike rack, and would lock that to one of his brake cables using a padlock lol. Ziptie stayed there for months.
Some days when im unlocking I notice a bike or two that straight up are not locked at all. Just loose in the rack between all the other locked bikes. Often times I triple check because im sure no one could be THAT naive.
We’re not even that far from the city. Maybe like 6 miles from the action and where bike thieves lurk. It’s wild to me
I failed to write a note like this in a timely fashion and the bike was gone in a couple of days. I still feel a little guilty.
