Back in August, when the Endurace CF 8 was on sale for $2100– many of us were wondering whether to get that or the Endurace CF 7 Di2 for $500 more. I waffled back-and-forth but ultimately went with the latter and I’m glad I did…in part because of the recall:

Who says an R8000 crankset won’t de-bond 5 years from now when we’ve stopped inspecting and paying close attention?
The 105 Di2 crankset weighs 86 grams more…which is equivalent to 3 ounces of water.

I bought one of the CF8’s when it was on sale near the end of July. My crankset does not fall in the recalled group. It must have been from a newer production as my 2 digit letters are UK and UL. apparently they sealed up a hole that was causing the issue.
Assuming they won’t recall any Di2 cranksets in the future.
