Not happened to me yet, but I've heard about people only realising when it was too late that they hadn't replaced the battery in their electronic derailleur…
This is why I love wired di2. I already have to charge my garmin, my power meter, my music and di2. I don’t want another 5 batteries to tend.

Spare batteries are cheap. I always carry a back up that’s charged

This would be cool for my analog bikes (all of my bikes).
I know some people hate indexing but if it’s done right in the first place all you do is turn the barrel a half turn once in a while. It’s not that hard.
But having to charge even more batteries and carry spares, nope. Never gonna happen for me.

I keep the axs charger plugged into one of the USB ports in my car and just pop the battery on there once a week or so

Good thing of living at the bottom of a hill, no way to forget your battery when you start the ride and are still in the gear you came down the hill, now planning on going up the hill 😀
