    You will most likely be fine without shortening. Internal routing would be a different story but in your case you are good to go.

    Worst thing, it doesnt look as good. Change the bars (maybe even try to reuse the bartape), test it for a couple of rides and if you feel you want to keep, you can still consider shortening the hoses or getting them shortened.

    *need*? No. You could, if you wanted to. Though I personally wouldn’t bother. The only real benefit would be looks. Not worth the hastle if you ask me.

    Also, incase you don’t like the shorter bars or want to change your stemlength after, it might be nice to not have shortened your cables already.

  4. Just check it doesn’t rub the frame or bend badly across the full range of rotation of the bars. You can usually get away with a 2cm change even with internal routing (depending on the setup). Sometimes you can just push any excess into the frame (not true for the fork).

  5. Unrelated to your question – what is that light you have there? That looks awesome!
