Andorra to Carcassone : Picos, Pyrenees and France Motorcycle Tour Ep 6

We leave a wet and soggy Andorra and climb over the mountains to a sunny France. The pace is slower at the start to take in the views and wet roads but picks up when it’s dry, the road into Quillan was spectacular!
Our digs for the night in the Medieval Fortress city of Carcassone was right outside the battlements and was a simpler choice after the expensive hotel in Andorra but was no less impressive. The simple supper on the terrace of locally bought wine, cheese, sausage and bread, whilst looking out onto the view of the old town, was a great way to end the day.

[Music] he [Music] he see the other number hello hello so we’re in Novatel in Andor laela this is our room so let me just spin you around do that so got big Telly probably just be Spanish you got a little that come off there you go tiny store tray drinks in bed if you haven’t got fat legs you Haven got fat legs I think it it’s for putting bags on is it I don’t know I don’t know anyway so a little chair there you got some drawers we got we got a sofa and there’s the bed it’s quite nice big bed we’ve got a fridge which my lovely wife will find my beers that I’ve so got left over and put them in there um so the water is included with the room so make sure you drink all the water cuz the room’s really expensive uh we got a real or what era would you call that 70s so it’s like a nice brownie color uh but yeah does a job and then you’ll know what toilet looks like a separate toilet and we’ve got couple of big cupboards so yeah that’s the ne room so so yes and not much of a view but there’s the view but you do get mountains look mountain and then they’re also included in the room rate I don’t know if you can see there’s a guy out there playing tennis on the rooftop and that’s a Wellness Center swimming pool which is included but you have to come out of this hotel and go into the next door hotel to use that in your bikini I won’t wear my bikini out told you that uh so so we’re just now going to trash the room by UNP in and exploding all the clothes everywhere and probably go out for pizza decided pizza tonight there you go you are there love haven’t fallen asleep first okay it’s a long day today long day what did you think of today let’s do that now today was full of twisty roads I feel like I never want to see another bend it was nonstop B I even got travel sick on the bike cuz we’re going from left to right it was just constant left right left right left right left right so it was good but it was quite exhausting cuz we been going for eight hours I think what yeah with only kind of a few 10 minute stops ish is more than 10 minutes well I wasn’t that mean to you no 15 minute um but yeah and it was also it started it was quite hot at place is it 30 plus it was very hot at the beginning particular so that sort of drained you a bit but then it we finished at 21 cuz the rain had come in but so we didn’t actually get wet but it it dropped the temperature down which is quite nice so yes so now got find the beer the beer’s in that [Music] one see you [Music] later so it’s not very far it’s 118 mil uh it’s quite we’ve left quite late uh made the most of the expensive room got money’s worth out of the staying there so it’s 11:51 B they got the afternoon to jizzel down there and going have to advis it up guys cuz it’s steamy so I just had a uh like slow crawl up all the air pins I’ve got what Co c c ordena uh so yeah very very wet and thingy however it stopped raining but it has dropped to 10° but uh makes for dramatic scenery with the low Cloud on the PS so now we’re on uh the road we were on before was like half the width of this one and it was all just switch back switch back but uh it appears we have quite a bit more to do so uh Road surface isn’t good on the outside so yeah we’re not that J’s happily taking pictures and videos on the back there let people out so this is the SE C s240 very good views hopefully it’s picking that up the weather forecast said it was going to be sunny today carassa is going to be in the 30s typical bloke styly I’ve dressed the same whether it’s 30° or 10 as we have to go through the uh what shall I wear dyam so if it warms up we may be stop well we will be stopping so uh JY can take some layers off so yeah no speed awards today the aim of every day is to not die so we take that box so far let bring you back in uh that is the tunnel down there you can see all that but that’s the uh tunnels from Andor to France or you can do what we’re doing and go over the top so yeah we’re doing a drizzly drizzly hair pin session today I have done this before in the draw and it’s uh can be a bit more fun I’m not sure if you have to pay for the tunnel I don’t know never done the tunnel so if anyone has ever done the franker Andora tunnel did you have to pay Summit 2,48 m so it’s it’s dropped down to 10° again all in Andora per square mile has got the most petrol stations anywhere in the world I everywhere what have to do the old here good you know hello again well literally half an hour from when I shut off the last video where it was all rainy and cold and I had the heated grips on it is now 24° fre as you can see bone [Music] dry and life is all Rosy and good again not that it wasn’t Rosy and good before it was just Rosy good and wet so we are now in France we’ve only got 73 miles to do couple of hours probably although we do need to find uh find a supermarket get some stuff we might go self key treat tonight might not we might wander into the Citadel see if there’s any restaurants on but it is Sunday see that’s our only con certain and if we don’t get the provisions in the afternoon then all the shops will be shot so now we’re leaving behind the panes byby so uh long this flat roads now which makes a nice change much as I like twisties had quite a lot it’s like chips I like chips a lot but you w want to eat them all the time that’s where getting a nice speed
