Abandoned at the shop after who knows how many years outside. Faced and chased bb, cold set rear stays, honed seat and head tube, cleaned and polished, shiny juice on frame. Reduced steertube collar diameter to fit 105 headset. Cut out original rims, scrubbed them with green part of a sponge and finish line 1 step, then shined up with mothers metal polish. STX RC rear hub also scrubbed and polished, Dura Ace 7400 front hub both 36 hole. Rear wheel 3 cross drive side, radial non drive. Front is 3 leading 3 trailing. Black spokes non drive, stainless on drive side. DT 1.8/1.6/1.8 spokes, three nipple colors in quadrants. Lots of fun colors, components are period correctish where I could. Rides super smooth and cushy on these big apples on single wall rims. Steering is super fast and chainstays are long but not too long. Stiffness is impressive for square taper bb and steel frame – radial on the rear wheel may contribute to that.

  1. I used to have one. Set it up with a full Deore LX group, put mustache bars and barcons on it, and rode it all over the place. I don’t remember why I sold it, but I wish I hadn’t.
