I’ve done the trail 4 or 5 times, so I knew I could do it, but I wanted a little challenge to see if I could turn this old Y-22 into a gravel bike of sorts. 700x42s fit on the 26″ frame.
Turned a flat bar 3×8 GT Transeo into a drop 1×10 (peep the aliexpress OSPW and sram red cassette).
Was it the best way to introduce her to this? Probably not.
Did she enjoy the hell out of it? Absolutely.
We had a great time and can’t wait to see some of you out there for the next trip! GAP->C&O->W&OD
