Does anyone there use bigger tires than the "normal" on their fixed? They needed to touch the relationship, they felt it "slower" please send your opinions.
anything pass 32c on fixed or single feels sluggish to me, but if it’s more off-road/tracklo, then hell yeah. Would go for a spinner gear ratio with big wheels as well

I just spent the weekend using 38s for the first time, mostly on pavement, keeping things super casual. Honestly one of the funnest rides I’ve ever had. Skidding was extremely difficult, and I almost felt like I had to re-learn it, but I prefer to only use it in emergencies and favor backpedaling/resistance control anyway, so it wasn’t all that different from normal. Except in comfort; oh my gosh, what a glorious revelation. I’ve been riding 25s and 28s for years, and I feel like I’ve been missing out in a lot of ways. I may downsize to 35s (tire clearance is VERY minimal), but I definitely feel like I experienced a life upgrade with the higher volume tires.
I ride 35c on my skream magnum. 18:48 ratio. it’s great

Once you ride quality, wide tires and get used to it it’s very hard to go back to 23-25mm and high PSI. They can be equally as fast. More comfortable and offer better puncture resistance. Common knowledge in 2025.
Very few advantages for general street use to ride slim tires unless you’re forced by your choice of frame.

I went from 25s to 35s a couple of years ago. It rides great, heavier but I also haven’t had a flat in that time either. Stupid road debris.

“They needed to touch the relationship” and “they felt it slower” are really weird translations lol.
Many in this sub seem to prefer fatter tires. I’m content with 32c.
