  1. They were inside the bike. I had to literally shake the bike to hear them, so I took the seat off and they just bounced off my bike.

Man I’m a bit nervous I might have messed it up

They’re almost certainly ball bearings from… somewhere.

Somewhere on your bike is likely now very floppy,/sloppy with play and doesn’t spin or rotate the way it did before.

Without more pictures it’d be hard for us to know exactly where.

Best guessed would be a bottom bracket, a headset, or hubs.

  3. They look like 1/4” ball bearings so likely from your bottom bracket or rear hub. Maybe your rear axle is broken? Pop the rear wheel off and pull the QR skewer out.

Bottom bracket bearings. You will need to replace that. Since you have Tourney components, it won’t be expensive. I would imagine if you pedaled the bike it would be obvious now. Also, your crank is probably able to move a bit in the shell which is why you think you need to adjust the front derailleur.

  5. My guess is unsealed bottom bracket is loose, but again that’s a guess.

  6. Maybe it was BB bearings that were causing you to adjust the front deraileur?

  7. Lmao the way you casually and whimsically say “tightening and loosing bolts here and there” make it sound like you’re working on your bike like you’re in a cartoon 😂. Like others have said, based on the size and where you found them, those bearings are most likely from your headset which is what allows your fork to turn freely through the head tube

I would say BB bearing from the size of them. The BB would have been very loose for them to end up the BB shell, but I have seen it happen. A bike with a Tourney group set is very much entry level with caged brgs/eace/cones in the BB, wheels and headset.
