  1. Those bikes have been out of production for so long that no one’s gonna make accessories for it anymore as far as I know.

    I just use headlights that attach with a big rubber O-ring onto the handlebars.
    These lights are plenty bright, they’ll light a building from across the street.

  2. Have you looked for “Ever Ready Frontguard light”?

    Later models (I think the Frontguard II) had a robust plastic bracket but the originals and it’s predecessor metal bodied lamp was designed for brackets like yours. The metal lamps relied on a spring plate to maintain position on the bracket so would rarely remain attached after the first pothole you hit. The later plastic bodied model held to the bracket by a bolted clamp and gave much better focused beam.
