
I purchased a bike and the seat is slightly too high. I need a shorter version of the circled carbon seat post. There is plenty distance to do down—the interior frame piece is about -/2 – 2/3rd the height of the post. I need maybe a 1 inch drop.

Trim it with a hacksaw or ask your neighbor or local bike shop to do so.
Loosen the seatpost clamp, lower the seatpost, tighten the seatpost clamp.

This looks like a shorter mast on EBAY. Pricey but you can’t cut or lower with the seat any further on that bike as is. You need a shorter seat mast if you want it lower than picture.
