    Descending fast, fixing slow, and chatting bikes with a pro: April 2025 vlog 3



    We’ve put this vlog together with some leftover footage from Cambridge Cycling Festival, Jona descending Maungakawa and some chat in the workshop before and after his rides last week.

      At start I was like what helmet and saw Giro, I'm aiming to get Lazer Volante Kineticore but unsure if it nerf me when cycle on road as not as good with air cooling from looks

      Black and red is ironic to me as my first computer I built was those colours

      I enjoyed the going on about having to make one turn 😂 also like you but only on mountain bike is when I only use front brake

      Jona, good think you do more bicycling and not skateboard. Nice to see you talking about bicycling with your bicycle mate.

      Have you tried a power meter on your Winspace, just for testing, although that's maybe an awful lot to ask from a friend. Looking at the comments from the live I can't imagine Jona competing in Rugby but I'm not from NZ and maybe there is a kid friendly version. Hopefully will catch the live tomorrow. I will say I do enjoy the conversation as well as the riding. Maybe "Scrap Sack" will catch on

      Best park of hills? Going down. Even mountain bike. That’s mostly what i do. But really enjoy your vedios. Your and inspiration to me. Keeps me riding at the young age of 76. Love knowledge you have and share.

      Oh, no! 'Dropping into' that old pool on a skateboard hurt before the landing. Ouch – stick with the bikes, J ! Good skill improvement, cleating up you shoes before starting. Love that style of mounts, like XC skis. When I rode in the 1970's (don't laugh at us geezers, please) the only option we had to secure foot to pedal was a stainless steel basket called a rat trap. You slid your foot into them from behind, and If you ever went down hard or fast, you found out why they called them that. You were the rat… At 15:30 on the chat, that was good clarification on your dad's earlier faux pas.

      Thank you Jona and your Parents , this is a very nice upload . These Bikes you'll prefer to use , "on the other side of the world ", for a German – look for us it's high-end quality. This views and atmosphere from this , excuse me , some sort of specific Mountain , were amazing .
