so i’m thinking about getting a bmx of marketplace and have decided it will probably be between these two and was just wondering if they were sized for kids or adults, im a mountain biker at heart and know basically nothing about bmx but i did it for a bit with some really cheap bmx i bought i didn’t know at the time but it was a haro kids bmx and i eventually stopped using it since it was just a massive hassle (bars would move all the time on a hard impact and it was just too small! 😆) so im just making sure these will be the right size for an adult (im about 5’7”) before i make my purchase, i did a quick google about it but i couldn’t find anything so i’ve turned here 😆
if this is the wrong subreddit for this i apologize and would someone please be able to point in the right direction for where i should post this

Stay away from both of those. One piece crank, hi-ten steel and weird spec’s parts that are hard to find=no good. If ya need a point of reference for what brand of bike to look for check out Albe’s, Dans Comp or Source.
Hard pass on both those. I’d have more faith in an old banana seat Murray than “mafia bikes”.
Yikes!! One piece cranks!!!
Since you’re in the UK like me, check out SDP BMX. On ebay and based on the west mids, they build full chromo bikes at a decent price. I bought one from them last week and it’s amazing.
Rule #1- No Mafia, No Elite.
Rule #2- 20″ BMX= technically adult size.
In YOUR case, I’d probably look at something 20.5tt, range based on what I read.
Brands I like- Sunday, Fit, Wethepeople. Brands i’m not as familiar with but seem to play well in the uk- Mankind.
Things we like- 4130 chromoly, 3 piece cranks, sealed bearings, mid bottom brackets, 14mm rear dropouts.
First up, they’re crap mafia bikes, cheap Chinese kit bikes made to look like a proper bmx, they feature cheaper materials and odd non standard sized items. Secondly they’re an adult sized bmx, 20″ wheel is an adult sized bmx standard, so whether a 10 year old kid or a 35+ year old man, it’s an adult sized bmx.
Don’t buy these no matter how they cheap are though.
Tbh mafia is a shit brand. But I had a mafia aftermarket polar frame that made me smile every time. Tho it was way to silly to ride as the geo was lit, it was fun(changed to a federal Perrin) . But the aftermarket stuff holds up as long as you can take the diggs from lads at the local park
