No but I put mastic tape there on my bikes to protect the paint. Maybe check cable length too.

Purely cosmetics, no mechanical wear and that being an aluminium frame, corrosion isn’t a threat either.

Looks like you are riding an Aluminium/Steel frame. So besides of cosmetic wear this shouldn’t give you headaches at all.

No this looks fine. The other guy that said tape and that’s what I would use.
You can grab hockey grip tape in a bunch of colors. It looks nice and doesn’t turn into a sticky mess. I’ve had good luck using it for various things like dumbbells. It holds up pretty well to weather and wear and tear.

It’s not good. Your bike is made of aluminium alloy, so it probably won’t fail if you protect that area from any more cable rub. Clean the area with a little isopropyl alcohol then paint on a little nail varnish to protect from oxidisation. I’d be inclined to cover it with something to protect it from further rubbing with a piece of gorilla tape, perhaps. Keep an eye on it.

Yes it will wear into the aluminum eventually. Get some clear frame protector material. Bet the LBS has the OE sheets that come with most bikes.
