  1. What a beautiful stage, again! Do not doubt whether you can do the TdF, you have worked so hard for it. You can be very proud of yourself… And thanks for all the fantastic videos๐Ÿ˜

  4. Amy, that was a beautiful ride on a beautiful bike being ridden by a beautiful person what more could you ask for? Back in2004 my wife and I took a trip to Patagonia, Chile and we had to spend a night in a small town called Punta Arenas, my wife spoke Spanish but not the dialect in Chile and I didnโ€™t speak an inch; at one point we walked by a health clinic with a dead dog outside and I took it on myself to go inside and let them know by repeating the phrase โ€œell deado doggoโ€Understandably, no one did anything and I left feeling like I should, completely embarrassed! Nowadays I use the translate app on my phone . You faired far better than I would have! Hey on those negative thoughts that were self sabotaging your mood and your enjoyment of your ride; yes of course it will be hard but youโ€™ve trained hard for it and have an impressive support group to help your u survive the effort but more importantly, please stop looking at the totality of the challenge and instead look at the smaller pieces like i need to do this to get through day one, etc. it will still be hard but I itโ€™s easier to manage upstairs. I believe in you as do most that are on your channel!

  5. "No speako de lingo"
Don't know what phone you have Amy, but the Samsung "flagships" have a "Live translation" feature !
Granted, not ideal, but better then facial expressions, arm waving & animal noises ๐Ÿ™‚

  6. Hi as someone that doesnโ€™t eat meat (vegan) donโ€™t feel guilty about eating meat when you have a background with disorder eating.

  7. I don't think anyone would think less of you if you slightly alter the TdF plan so as not to have to do the transfer parts, just do the actual route. It would just make it more of a certainty that you'll complete it. It seems an incredibly big ask otherwise.

  8. Once again on the bike and smiling. Enjoying yourself. Don't worry about the TDF, it will take care of itself. Once the ride starts you will be in your happy place and then nothing can stop you. Your doing great. This ride has proven that. You started the ride not really happy about it and as the ride progressed your whole attitude changed and you were very happy about being out there. I know how you feel about when you meet other cyclists out riding. Makes me very happy to see that. Keep it up your doing great.

  9. Que hermoso , Amy ! Vamos ! Mucho รกnimo ! Saludos from South Texas . You will do great with the Tour de France ! Be confident . Can wait to follow your rides from France . Your footage of Spain has been spectacular ! God bless . ๐Ÿšด๐Ÿผ๐Ÿค™๐Ÿฝ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ

  10. You really are living the dream Amy, another stunning ride๐Ÿ‘ŒIt really is setting you up for the TDF with all that climbing๐Ÿ‘

  11. One day I will write a book about Sod's Law of peeing ( or pooping ) in the middle of nowhere. No one around for miles, then just when you are at your most relaxed, a group of nuns on a walking tour stop for sandwiches.. I have lost count of the number of times this has happened to me . Or, as in your case, it is some people you have met earlier, have said hello to, like you are a normal human being, so you can't then just pretend they are not there, and they can't pretend to have not seen you . ( "Oh hello again, nervous titter…" ) I have been known to walk a mile from the road in a Siberian forest to get some peace and quiet. But then there's the bears ….

  12. You do many rides for charity throughout the year. Do these organizations charge you? I looked into an organization called Jackride.. for youth mental health. I thought that it would be a good cause, and indeed it is. But I read further down the page and they want me to pay them $100?? Is that normal? Vegetarian? You could do it Amy, I know that you could. I am Plant-based, that is no meat, dairy or eggs. And I limit my processed food. It is easier than you think to get protein from plants. I have never found that it is a restrictive diet. When I think about it, there are really only 3 things that I avoid. But when I look at the produce aisle, and some of the frozen and canned foods, I see an abundance of things that are available to me. I won't tell you what to do, and I won't think any less of you if you don't go veggie. All I will do is encourage you to give it a try and see what you think. You may be pleasantly surprised by how you feel, healthwise.

  13. รnimo Amy el Tour de Francia es pan comido para tรญ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿผ

  14. Not sure what your goals are with this training…..You already have the fitness to do lots of miles and hills, you're not competitive so you're not trying to train to be faster, you want to go slow down the dissents, so just curious what you might be training to do. I know you just enjoying being out on your bike experiencing the scenery and going slow to smell the roses along the way. Glad you're able to do that! Oh yeah, make sure you have new brake pads for TDF because you'll be on the brakes a lot.

  15. ๐Ÿ‘Quit worrying about being a vegetarian. It would make meeting your goals a lot harder, What's more important, your goals or being a vegetarian?

  16. That's why I dumped my Garmin 1040, go off course and just says make a u turn. Using a Coros Dura and it never fails, guides me back to the route every time. Love the vids Amy, your enthusiasm inspires me to get out. Holidaying/cycling in Crete soon and soon of the hills look brutal…ouch

  17. Congrats Amy on yet another great ride. Your clearly well in control of your fueling and hydration. You are probably well aware but regards the TDF in the heat of summer, I think one of the most difficult things apart from the miles will be dealing with hydration with the daily extreme heat. It may be worth considering this as part of your training, becoming accustomed to long hot days . Well done, it's great seeing how your getting on. X

  18. You're doing a great job, and so happy for you, that you get to fully train and get ready for all your up-coming adventures. It makes all the adventures that much easier when you're in shape!

  19. Love the channel but please stop
saying bocadililio!!!! Itโ€™s bocadillo which is pronounced bok-a-dee-yo. Double ll is a y sound in Spanish. Sorry but it is driving me nuts ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿ˜Š carry on โœŒ๏ธ
