  1. What the fuck are you talking about! Cycling has not become easy at all. It's just become much harder than before. Good quality bike and kit are so expensive that you need two years at least of saving money to buy a bicycle and cycling clothing . If you are lucky enough to have access to Chinese brands of good quality, you can buy a good bike and apparel to do this sport at a good price/quality level.

  2. I’ll buy ‘value’ (DHB / Decathlon) shorts and jersey, but shoes (and jackets) are all about fit and quality materials and I’m happy to blow the budget – currently have Lake – and worth every penny – last for years …. Mind – I do see specialised as being a decent shoe manufacturer – so not for me

  3. I'm kind of old and I have often thought that everyone should start out on downtube shifters. You really have to anticipate when you are going to need to shift. Newer riders on group rides seem to never really learn that. Going into a climb for the example, you can hear a lot in the group switching gears while they are grinding.

  4. Hmmm… this Avec thing looks surprisingly familiar with something known as "bikedoc" on the Aliexpress and there were lengthy discussions on a website known as weightweenies… I might be wrong and I won't fact check it but I'd say you got a lot of options these days…

  5. And here's to you, Mrs. Robinson

Jesus loves you more than you will know

    Whoa, whoa, whoa

God bless you, please, Mrs. Robinson

Heaven holds a place for those who pray

    Hey, hey, hey

    Hey, hey, hey

  6. I’ve got some 9 year old GIRO Empires that look in similar shape to yours, still going strong 🙂 I’ve got a back up new pair waiting in the wings, will come out for Summer…

  7. I BUY WHAT I WANT, IRRESPECTIVE OF COST!
UNFORTUNATELY, THE UK IS VERY POOR FOR WHAT I WANT, INCLUDING NOT SELLING CERTAIN PRODUCTS, CERTAIN BRANDS, CLOTHING IN THE BRIGHT COLOURS
THAT ARE AVAILABLE & NOT SELLING THE BIGGEST SIZES THE BRANDS MAKE!
THE UK IS ALSO WELL OVER PRICED TO ABROAD PRICES, TOO!!!
I LOVE STAND-OUT BRIGHT CARBON SHOES BY VITTORIA IN ITALY, BUT HAVE TO IMPORT THEM AS THERE IS NO UK SELLER!
ALL MY BRIGHT CLOTHING COME'S FROM ITALY & SPAIN, BUT USING CERTAIN ONLINE SITES SAVES ME VAT, CUSTOMS, ETC!
I WANTED A CARBON VERSION OF A SADDLE WHICH THEY DON'T SELL IN THE UK, SO ASKED UK DISTRIBUTOR IF THEY COULD GET ME ONE AT BEST EU PRICE?
THEY SAID IT WAS NOT A PROBLEM, AND LATER I ORDERED ANOTHER FOR MY OTHER TOP-END ITALIAN ROAD BIKE!
ALL MY BIKES HAVE TOP OF THE RANGE CAMPAGNOLO 12-SPEED SUPER RECORD EPS AS I WANT VIRTUALLY 100% ITALIAN-MADE BIKES!
ALL MY CLOTHING IS VIRTUALLY ALL ITALIAN-MADE APART FROM SPANISH-MADE ETXEONDO!

  8. You needed more skill and nous as road man back in the 70s using down tube shifters etc . Seen guys using there knees to nudge the gear lever even sprinting etc.

  9. What do I think of the RCR-F? I want one! Although I can't justify the price. So if I could test ride one to feel the aero and stiffness I'd be good.

  10. £300 for a handlebar.. How fakin disconnected are you from reality.. All you do is get free shit and kit and give zero quality reviews. Nobody's buying that

  11. 2 knobs calling themselves bike testers.. I bet you don't hit 5,000km a year… Ftp under 300w… Just because you ride alot of bikes does not mean your opinion means Jack shit. No original though and spewing same bs every other channel does

  12. 40extra grams on a pair of shoes at a snail’s pace of 60rpm on a 3 hour ride is approx 964lbs of extra weight being moved….

  13. It’s funny listening to two guys talking about bike differences when I’ve been racing bike’s longer than they’ve been alive.

  14. I bought some Van Rysel bib shorts which are great, they have gel pockets on each leg which work well for longer rides. They were also on offer so I think I paid £50 a pair which seems reasonable?

  15. My daughter's just taken delivery of the S-Works Torch shoes and Evade helmet, they are really lovely kit and she's very happy with them. Fitting done by Cyclefit. All courtesy of her team's sponsorship this year at London Academy 🧡💖 😊

  16. I don't buy any of the arguments made that bikes have become too easy.
You still have to think about braking.
To get the best out of shifting you have to think about when you're shifting.

It's easier to get that right, but it's not easy.
